Dear Wild Slings' Friends,
This pattern is a must-have and an important part of my new no cotton wrap collection. Its name is "Les secrets de l'océan" so the dignified whale fits perfectly into the whole concept. The name of this wrap is a storm in the ocean, and for sure you know how soothing the smell of air after the storm is, which cleans us of all worries.
 
This project is a metaphor for freedom, an invaluable value for me, which invariably inspires, moves and drives me to act. With my new wrap, I wanted to capture the essence of nature's power along with the power of the elements. A majestic whale leaping out of the foaming sea, which becomes an uncontrolled element. The triangle the whale is heading to is a mystical transition between reality and dreams, symbiosis with the universe, and a balance between the tranquility of the night sky and the power of a stormy ocean. The beautiful colors of the wrap fully reflect the moment I wanted to capture. Deep turquoise, beautiful purple and white woven on a black warp look perfect as if they were always to be combined with each other. Hand-woven, black fringes add extra elegance to the whole design.
 
I wove this wrap from incredibly noble yarns. I decided to use this original blend with soft noble linen, organic eucalyptus wood fiber and bamboo. Thanks to that the fabric is soft and smooth and very velvety to the touch. Eucalyptus has breathable properties, and the fibers regulate temperature and absorb moisture, so the wrap will be great also on hot days. The material is durable, does not shrink or stretch. What is also very important it is especially recommended for people with sensitive skin and allergy sufferers, so it will be perfect from the first days of a newborn's life. It is perfect both for the first reeling of a newborn and for carrying older children - it is load-bearing and roomy.
